The main plans for the Campus Upgrade of the Pyramids & Mastabas are ready. Between 2027 and 2030, 21 residential buildings will be upgraded: 7 Pyramids,
7 Mastabas and all low-rise buildings on Witbreuksweg. The work will take around
six months per building.
Veste Wonen and Ons Verbond | Trebbe will launch the project with a pilot at Witbreuksweg 399, which will be vacant in September 2027. The occupied building at Witbreuksweg 401 will follow. On 20 October, the project team met with students from this building to get to know them and discuss the upgrade plans. The turnout was excellent and the team received a warm welcome. The students were well prepared and asked thoughtful questions, leading to open and enjoyable conversations and valuable insights. It was great to see so much enthusiasm and interest.
Once the plans are final, we will help students prepare for the upgrade. Communication will take place in phases, one building at a time. This means that each student group will receive information about the schedule, the work and what to expect at the right time.
